Taj Weekes injured; new artiste announcements

Dear Family,

We regret to inform you that due to a serious leg injury, St. Lucian performer, Taj Weekes cannot travel and will not be performing at this year’s Calgary International ReggaeFest. Please join us in sending Taj positive vibes and well wishes for a speedy recovery.

But where one door closes another one opens up.

We are thrilled to announce two additional performers to the ReggaeFest line up. Kafinal, a rising star on the Canadian Reggae scene in Toronto will be making the last minute trip to put on a show for Rastagarians. Known affectionately as “Canada’s Festival King”, Kafinal is an exciting and engaging performer with a great sense of humor. Check out Kafinal’s special musical shout out to all Rastagarians.

Also joining Kafinal on the ReggaeFest stage, is Calgary’s own Dubwise. Dubwise are a reggae, funk, and soul fusion band that will keep the crowd dancing to reggae classics and some original work.

We are truly blessed to have such a wealth of exceptional Reggae talent in Canada. Please join us in welcoming Kafinal and Dubwise to the Calgary International Reggae Festival for the first time!

Remember tickets are on sale at http://www.reggaefest.ca/tickets/ and available at Heritage Posters (1502 – 11 Avenue SW).
