Garry Lowe ~ Friday, 13th July, 2018

The path is so much clearer

The Big Lion passed on as we celebrated today Friday, 13th July, 2018 some time with Garry Lowe

Through his humble deeply spiritual path with RasTafari, Garry Lowe brought that energy to Canada and his contribution{s} to music

Gordie Johnson mentioned as I paraphrase;

“Garry Lowe did not play rock, soul or reggae… he brought Garry Lowe to the music”

Yes he did

I speak of running to the television every time “Digging a Hole” by Big Sugar came on Much Music and how I and many would run to catch glimpses of the Big Lion

These aren’t just words to say after he has passed, it has always been thus

His look and presence was iconic

He wanted Rastafari, Nyabinghi drums on this day and Xola, Jah Paul, Bingi and Sister Pauletta played and sang for him.  Honors Papa Xola and crew

A family man

Mojah told me of him getting paid at gigs and going directly to bank machines all over Canada to send dollars for his children

He spoke of his children constantly

He seemed to live for them

His essence has reinforced I n I belief that if you lead from a spiritual place in your soul, you can move babylon

Garry moved all whom he crossed paths with

Through RasTafari the Big Lion moved Canada

He definitely moved I
1{A Psalm or Song for the sons of Korah.} His foundation is in the holy mountains.
2The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.
3Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.
4I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.
5And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.
6The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah.
7As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee.
In the name of His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Haile Selassie I, Germawi Qedamawi
